Sanamacha Chanu (born 2 October 1978) is an Indian weightlifter who competed in the women's 53 kg weight class at the 2004 Summer Olympics . The 43 year old Chanu, is one of the most successful woman weightlifters in the country. She is an Arjuna awardee of the year 2000. She is from Imphal in Manipur state.
