Tamil Nadu minister Senthil Balaji sent to judicial custody till June 28

  Chennai:  Session Court principal Judge S Alli who visited Omandurar multi-speciality hospital, where V Senthilbalaji has been admitted, ordered judicial custody for the State Minister till June 28. He has also been given permission to undergo treatment. The Minister of Electricity was arrested late last night by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act after day-long raids. Later, he was taken to Omandurar multi-speciality hospital as he complained of chest pain.

Karuvannur bank fraud: ED raid at houses of five accused at same time

 The Enforcement Directorate attached to the Kochi office here on Wednesday started simultaneous raids at the residences of five accused in the Rs 312 crore fraud at the CPI-M controlled Trissur-based Karuvannur Cooperative bank. Incidentally, of the five accused where the raids began, four are out on bail. The ED officials involved in the raids were being guarded by the armed CISF guards as a matter of precaution. The Karuvannur Cooperative bank fraud in Thrissur district came intolimelight a year ago, but not much headway has been made in the probe by the police. Trouble broke out very recently when a depositor after desperate pleas for getting his money back for treatment passed away. Since then the fraud in the CPI-M controlled bank has made frequent headlines and even saw the Kerala High Court intervening. Admit cards, list of candidates in Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee’s house: ED to court

 These are among the records allegedly recovered from the home of West Bengal Industry and Commerce Minister Partha Chatterjee by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during searches conducted on July 22 in connection with the state school jobs scam, according to court records obtained by The Indian Express . A LIST of 48 candidates with roll numbers for posts of primary teacher; documents related to the appointment of Group D staff, including admit cards for recruitment tests; and, a list of candidates under the letterhead of a former TMC MLA. These are among the records allegedly recovered from the home of West Bengal Industry and Commerce Minister Partha Chatterjee by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during searches conducted on July 22 in connection with the state school jobs scam, according to court records obtained by The Indian Express.
