CUET PG 2024: Exciting Updates on Test Centres, Website, and Registration Fees!
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG 2024 is bringing in some noteworthy changes, making the examination process even more accessible and user-friendly. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the addition of two new test cities, Gurugram in Haryana and Srinagar, providing candidates with more options and convenience.

In response to requests from candidates and stakeholders, the NTA took the decision to enhance the examination infrastructure by including these two new test cities. This move comes after the earlier reduction of exam city centres from 337 in 2023 to 300 in India. The NTA is committed to ensuring the comfort and accessibility of candidates throughout the examination process.
For those who have already submitted their application forms, the NTA is allowing edits to the choice of examination centre during the correction window. The agency will make efforts to allocate the preferred city of examination based on the Correspondence Address or Permanent Address provided by the candidates. The NTA emphasizes that its decision on allotment of Centre City will be final.
A notable change this year is the modification of the CUET PG website, which is now accessible at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in. This update aims to streamline the online experience for candidates, providing a more efficient and user-friendly interface.
However, along with these positive changes, there is a slight adjustment in the registration fees. Candidates will now pay Rs 1,200 if they belong to the general category, while those under OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS will contribute Rs 1,000. Moreover, the fees for additional test papers have increased from Rs 500 to Rs 600 this year. For applicants outside India applying for up to two tests, the fees are now Rs 6,000, with Rs 2,000 for each additional paper. It's worth noting that these changes mark a Rs 200 increase across all categories compared to the previous year.
In summary, the CUET PG 2024 is shaping up to be an examination that prioritizes candidate convenience, with the addition of new test centres and an updated website. While there are slight adjustments in registration fees, these changes are geared towards enhancing the overall examination experience for candidates. Aspiring postgraduate students should keep an eye on these updates and ensure they are well-prepared for the upcoming CUET PG 2024.
